Let us go into our rc leisure mode again. Other than talking about the rc stuffs, the tools, the track and of course the ride itself, the buggy and the truggy. We need to talk about the communication here. All right, the rc radio transmitter is one under this category too but what else?

We love covering rc truggy news and thanks to our rc news partner, Buggy-Sport.Info we have this scoop from them. The main guy here is of course Frank Lemke who had twice won the German Monstertour with his Sirio CL7B powered Kyosho ST-RR truggy. Talking about domination, yes this guy is awesome. One cannot simply ignored his neon yellow Kyosho ST-RR Truggy. Congrats there Frank Lemke.
Here a couple of pictures courtesy of MCG Racing Team.

It is that RC Leisure moment again here. Today, let us talk about your radio control race preparation to the track. For the normal racer probably like you and I, the most important thing to bring is our car, buggy or truggy kit to the track. Next is of course our radio transmitter. What else is needed?
Well, if you are into nitro like us, rc nitro fuel, glow starter and the starter box are the next in the list. If this is only a bashing session, you do not have to bring your battery charger because as usual the receiver battery will last the whole two to three tanks. For me, I do not even bring my rc tools. Ha-ha.

There are so many things to talk to when we are in the leisure mode again. One thing that seldom come is the RC Wiring. Obviously we never covered this topic here in RC Nitro Offroad Blog but we have somehow talked about the Non-Nitro side of offroad in this blog.
Either you checked on the Rock Crawling section or the Brushless buggy category, they all have some kind of wiring to do. Meaning you need specific rc wires and not the Cat6 cables. You need soldering gun and iron. To newbies, this sound so hard and yes, we ever gone through the same pain too. However, if you look on the current market for electric products with the exception that you are already a professional racer, most of the electric products are plug and play systems. If you are familiar with computer, you know what we mean by plug and play system. Same case with RC electric wiring system. Especially on the RTR (Ready-To-Run) system. All you have to is just get your battery, connect the included plug to the electronic speed controller and you are done. Even some of the system need no tuning. Just turn off and turn on, you are already ready to run. So easy.

If you remember well, we talked about Yannick new venture The Aigoin’s Racing with GRP products and our rambling on the drug rehab thing which we are very sorry. Sometimes when everything does not come into place, the stress come to attack us.

Anyway, thanks to our RC Partner, Neobuggy.net to make us straight again. They featured a story on Yannick Aigoin’s Racing but specifically on the new GRP RC Engine inside look. Neobuggy has done an interview on Yannick a month ago regarding his prototype engine but no details leaked as at that moment. This was Yannick’s answer when the question popped at him.
“The GRP engine that I am currently testing is a prototype engine which has no name yet” (Y.Aigoin)
Here what Neobuggy.net reported on their site.
It’s fair to say that Yannick’s first race with all this new equipment was a baptism of fire, 2 of the year’s biggest races – Worlds warmup and the Nitrocross race. Results were mixed, but the potential was there.

Have you checked the onboard video camera on Adrien Bertin Buggy? Now that is one cool onboard video shot. I am very sure it can somehow help you to visualize how the buggy gone through all the bumps and jumps; how you see the shocks doing their jobs and indirectly see the style of Adrien’s driving. In short, the video camera can help you and I go through the track in a better different perspective.

Yes and I am not kidding when we said HongNor / Jammin X1CR terrorized the recent Puerto Rico Offroad final championship. Imagine 6 out of 10 are HongNors racers in Buggy class while in the truggy class nearly all HongNors racers with the exception of one Losi and Mugen racers. Now this is what I call The Land Of The HongNors!
But of course, Juan Torres was the ‘Man of The Match’ as they call it in the Football. He not only won first in the Buggy, he also captured the top trophy in the truggy class. Just plain awesome Torres!
The Puerto Rico Offroad Association (PROFA) has finished it’s annual points championship. With all championships comming down to the final race it was a very intense race. With over 325 racers the annual point series was a success.
There were 6 HongNor/Jammin X1CR cars in the A main final and 8 X1-CRT cars in the truggy final. Juan Torres driving a X1-CR won the First position of 1/8 buggy class and with the X1-CRT he also won the first of truggy class.

We love GRP Products and in fact, everything about GRP we like. So anything related to GRP is of course our concern too. So it is appropriate to talk about Aigon Racing too simply because they are The New Distributor for GRP Products in France. The name sounds familiar isn’t it? Yes, it is the same Yannick Aigoin, The great Pro driver who used to drive for XRay XB8 Buggy and now with Team Losi on their 8ight buggy. Cool.

OK, another of our popular RC Rambling on our RC Leisure moment. Let us all be honest, RC Products are no cheap products. It is not a cheap hobby that everyone can just simply come on board. That is the sad part in all this. RC as in Radio Control or Remote control is after all The Big Boys Toys.
Now, what about the small boys? Are they not worthy to play the same toys like us? I am not sure how you all started in this hobby but I still remember how I started. I tell you this in front, credit cards are your friends when come to buying RC Products. Nearly everything about RC I bought using the credit cards. Simply because the protection of buying things with credit card and of course, you do not have to carry many cash with you.

This is just the start of more upcoming news from CEN Racing Team. We feel so privilege that we are able to cover CEN Racing’s drivers achievement. Mostly of course thanks to their sponsored driver and our friend, Gene ‘The Machine’ Hickerson, for providing all the latest news. We have to say CEN Racing teams not only been busy joining races but also winning them. The least they achieved is by being in the A Main. We just could not get enough of them. It is as if CEN Racing Team has been into the business performance management course of some sort. Well, if they are not, they are sure winning more than other brands. Congrats in advance from us.

Here one of their younger generation driver, Justin Cranford. He just TQ’ed and wins the Pro Arena Class (rc truggy) at the recent Hotshots Dash for Cash in Dothan, AL on Nov 3rd and 4th 2007. He won big cash of $390 as the overall winner.

Another leisure talk here. Have you all ever wondered about installing all our rc equipments with GPS so that whenever we lost them to the irresponsible theft that keep lurking around our pit area, we can actually search it back and catch the theft alive.
Interesting idea isn’t it?
Well, I am not sure it is practical or not. We already have many high technology parts, system, motor, speed controller, the CRF engine and the latest is the FASST Futaba radio. Most of them is are actually as impossible and impractical at first but see where they are now.
So, is it practical to put the GPS into our rc equipment?

Great news for all Jammin / Hong Nor Products especially on the development of the CRT, The truggy and of course to Taylor James for his great driving too.

Thanks to Taylor James, the Jammin CRT now owns five National Championships (2 ROAR & 3 R/C Pro) of the six available since this revolutionary truggy hit the market. Taylor contributed to this impressive record this past weekend by winning the the R/C Pro Expert Arena Truck title in Texas. Taylor only competed in two of the three series races so he had to win the finals to take home the R/C Pro National Championship. This win gives him back to back R/C Pro titles as he was the defending champ.
Congratulations Taylor!!!

Once again, Gene Hickerson provides us with this complete race review of the recent RC Pro Florida Nitro Off-road Finals. Here, in his own words.
The 2007 RC Pro Florida Nitro Off-road Finals were held at B&B Raceway in Hudson. The 4th and final round was worth 1.5 times the points to determine the State Champion. Everyone was allowed 1 drop. The track layout was not difficult, but had many elevation changes and was very fun with lots of air time. 106 entries were ready to battle for the RC Pro Series Championship. Saturday saw 3 rounds of 10 minute IFMAR qualifiers, best 2 of 3 seeded you for the mains. On Sunday, we ran the IFMAR Tree format, with 1st & 2nd going directly to the A-Final, while everyone else had to bump from the Semi-Finals.

This is another thing that really intrigued me and keep on appearing in my mind. Do RC Racer ever exercise?. What I mean is do RC Racers use any exercise equipment to prepare themselves just before any big race. If you are RC Racer, have you ever exercise with any type of equipment? Do you really need to do any kind of exercise, for example the finger practice exercise for better throttle control.

Mark Pavidis moves to Kyosho USA, this is the news we got courtesy of our RC News partner, RedRC.net. To those who does not know who is Mark, well let just say he won big on 2006 IFMAR Jakarta as the World Champion driving his Kyosho buggy with OS engine. yeah, that was him.

Having Mark on staff will give us a distinct advantage because he’s raced at the highest level of competition in the world for decades. Not only will he be able to design new products, his considerable racing skill will allow him to test them to the highest limits. Combined with the considerable talents of Gil Losi, Jr., we’re very excited about the possibilities of future products that will result from our newly-formed team.

We just found out this cool radio none other than from Futaba. The Futaba 4PK 2.4Ghz FASST systems. FASST simply means Futaba Advanced Spread Spectrum Technology. Here a scoop from RCTech.

4PK System Overview:
- 40-model memory
- 10-character model naming
- 4th channel for brake bias, throttle adjustments, etc.
- 2 programmable mixes
- Assignable button, trims and dials
- Digital trims and dials
- Advanced Positioning Adapter (APA)
- Adjustable trigger location
- Backlit 128 x 64 white LCD screen with adjustable contrast
***Not only is the backlit LCD screen large enough for easy reading without eye strain, it’s also angled for instant viewing without having to tilt the transmitter. It is like installing a whole new bright home lighting. I bet you can use this as torch light … just kidding here. The previous sentence direct quoted from the thread

We are glad that we can cover this story and thanks to Pato aka Tabushi from rctech for sharing with us all. Wherever they goes they are sure making an impact with their skillful driving. It was not enough that conquered the podium on the recent outing at Bogota Columbia Regional Championship; they are now making others noticed that if you are not on your toes, you going to regret it at this Manizales 1/8 track on the Colombia Championship.
.
Pato has the 5th position while the Rodrigo Echeverri got the 7th position.

If you have been following my posts all this while, I always if not often enough say that being online is the very best thing ever happened to me and probably should be on you too. You can find almost anything and everything just being online. What, you need love? I probably and must have talked about RC Love but not the other love thing. Even that is easily can be fixed. I am not going to talk about it here, now anyway, but probably later, Ok.
