RC Hot Bodies Products came out with new HB cyclone Carpet Chassis spec with new thicker chassis, 3.6mm carbon fibre (fiber) plate. Mostly all the carbon fibre (fiber) parts been thicken to optimize for carpet racing. This includes the upper deck, arms and the rear shock tower.

Yes, it is that moment again where everything seems to stop. The Christmas mood is still there and the New year 2008 is coming. Obviously no race during the weekend. Everyone like to stay at home with the family and just lazying themselves in front of the TV.
Other than staying indoor, what else you can do if not all the activities related to staying indoor. Well other than we start considering racing the carpet version of the Hotbodies Cyclone Carpet Spec, playing online gaming, kill more terrorist in the counterstrike, we may also consider playing the Billiard from www.borderbilliards.com. It may not be the same like playing our favourite snooker, however Billiard is still in the same league with balls, cue and carpet table with six holes. Same like our RC rides - RC truck, truggy, buggy and the electric version of it.

This is our local race but somehow opened to all international racers. Sometimes as far as Australia. Our local track operator HMS Racing is actually the same Team HMS Racing, the authorized distributor for Serpent Model Racing products in Asian region. Meaning, we can have the latest Serpent products such as the on-road Electric Car S400 and of course whatever come out from Serpent.

What a title eh? Radio Control Wifi as in controlling your truck using the radio with broadband connection without the wire. Are you still with me? I am confused too. We already have the Futaba with its FASST system and the Spektrum Technology. So what is RC Wifi am I talking about here?

Hobao Annual 2008 Nitro Buggy and Truggy Race latest updates as at today 11th December, 2007.

Another Malaysian local race. This time is under Hobao brand. The track is obviously at HPC Glenmarie Offroad Track. The one used for the previous LRP Asian Nitro Masters 2007 where the track was flooded to the ankle! and the 2007 HPC International 1/8th Offroad Buggy and Truggy Race.
Anyway, hope it will not rain again. Hope starting January 2008, it is all sunny and blue in the sky. Here the list of participants including some big names from Singapore like Glenn Puah from Team Xray, Wenyi from Team HongNor of Singapore, who happened to come second on the recent HongNor Cup. Our own Malaysian local hotshot, David Lim and of course international racers from Taiwan and Macau too.
Event : Annual Hobao Open 1/8 Nitro Buggy/Truggy Off-Road Race

Yes, another of the boring moment at home. Staying indoor is definitely not in the to-do list but nothing much can do here. It is raining and it is night time. Whatever it is, I tell you it is no fun starting your rc buggy or rc truggy indoor. Unless you want to stay outside the house for the night. Unless you are a single person and living on your own house or apartment. If that is true, that you are a single, bachelor and has nothing to do at the moment, then stay awake. I am here to save and entertain you at the same time. I promise you will not be bored 
We talked about it and the detail of this RCAC 1/8th RC Nitro Buggy Club Race, and we just got this scoop or shall I say latest update a few minute ago that the closing date is right up to Saturday, December 15th 2007. That is this weekend my friends.
This is just too beautiful for us to ignore. Schumacher has just re-badged the Picco 8 Port .28 engine and created an art for the new distinctive look. This is definitely not to be missed on the track. Someone please get hold of this. Simply beautiful and not to mention, it maintain the lowe center of gravity too. Awesome.

New from Schumacher is this re badge of the Picco 8port .28 engine. Schumacher have developed the head to maintain a low center of gravity and to grace your car with highly distinctive looks.
Used by schumacher to superb effect to power the Fusion .28 to hellish speeds. This offers a financially sensible option to some of the big money big blocks available. Well respected for the excellent top end that they offer it makes sense as a bash or winter series engine for your 1/8th buggies or truggies. Comes supplied with rotostart backplate and requires suitable starter mechanism, non pull start back plate is also available.
Have you all ever thought of having some kind of lighting on top or in front of your buggy or truggy? I know the RC Drifters installing some cool LED light inside their drifting cars and they are just awesome during their run at night. I am sure the monster truck racers and enthusiasts do lots of lighting installation too. I have seen them and quite honestly pretty cool but nothing like what I am about to tell you here.
This is an interesting topic for us, will you do radio control (RC) for life? Interestingly, some will answer yes but most of the time people will say no, you are crazy. Ha-ha.
It is high time to cover our own local race, specifically at our Peninsular Malaysia RC Offroad Racers. Here the RCAC Club Race itself, open to all.

Of course you need some kind of RC Timing Watch to help you in RC. I am not sure what the meaning of RC Timing Watch since my English is very poor. What I am trying to say is the one you use for your rc pit stop. The one you use to time your friend next nitro fuel up. Yes that is the one. I know there is a specific stop, pause and go watch but definitely you do not need Cartier watch. That is one damn expensive watch that only deserve around your wife’s hand. No, not that.
However, this is a boring moment. We all stay indoor and being a true offroader we just need to let the fume out. think something stupid probably in the same time. I hope you all not offended. I am just rambling here. 
Leisurely mood again here. You will be thinking like me too if you do not have any proper track locally. Of course we envy our western Malaysian who has wonderful track like the HPC Glenmarie and the most fortunate RC racers in Indonesia. Somehow, finding and getting this great real estate property for their RC Track seems easy.
For us here, I have to slap my head many times why oh why we still do not have our own proper track. Either we bashed and race in the abandoned construction yard or just at the beach. If we are not that crazy, we would have stopped playing RC long time already. We all hate the situation but nothing much can do. Our Electric RC racer counterpart are all smiling because they have one of the best onroad track and even coming up one indoor track. For us rc offroaders??? Pathetic!
We ever talked about the Nitro Beach Carribean before and now they have their own RC Pro Carribean Series. Now isn’t that nice. I wish we have this kind of thing here locally. However, that will not happen in the near future until we have come up with some very good driver that can compete with international racers. Next time then. RC Pro Caribbean is preparing for it’s 2nd year. The 1st year was great and we look for the 2nd to be even better under the direction of Rafael Sabatier and his crew. This year races will be scheduled in the Dominican Republic as well as Puerto Rico. Last year we worked with several iof our sponsors to get their product into the Caribbean. Now this is another topic that I would love to share and get feedback. I hate cleaning after some very eventful bashing session with friends. This is of course if you play rc truck, rc buggy or rc truggy. There are rc offroad vehicles and being dirty are their number one priority. However, what do you use to clean them? What gadget, what utility and what equipment you found that useful and practical enough to clean your rides?
Another great weekend especially for the HongNor racers in China. They must be really happy because they had their first ever race at the FeiTeng Track in Guangzhou. HongNor Cup 2007 has both class open 1/8th buggy and truggy class are open to all racers with HongNors ride only. Meaning HongNor Buggy X1CR and the Truggy X1CRT. Wang Wen Pei was the man who managed to capture the first podium finish as champion. Congrats to Mr. Wang.

Last weekend saw the 2007 HongNor Cup held in mainland China for the first time at the FeiTeng track in Guangzhou, and it was open to both Buggy and Truggy. This is a one make race, open to HongNor racers only and it was attended by their factory team as well as many top Asian drivers, all driving the X1CR or X1CR-T. Qualifying saw the buggy class TQ go to ChengYikuan with Taiwanese factory driver WangWenPei in 2nd position. After the start it was WangWenPei that immediately took the lead and despite a battle with Singapore driver WenYi for many laps he was able to pull away and win the race 1 lap in front of WenYi in 2nd, with HuWeiPing in 3rd. WangWenPei also went on to win the Truggy class.
