    HI there Chris?
Well, its all up to you. Truggy is more forgiving in terms of parts failure and their massive or bigger tires. More jumps always equal to more fun. At least thats what experience. Negative side, some hobbyshop don’t have their spare parts more than their buggy partner.
Buggy is more versatile (well nowadays almost the same) and usually more races organize for this class. It is smaller and usually from what I’ve seen here, more speedier than the truggy.

Personally, I go for 1/8th class. Bigger is always better and more or should I say, less parts to change due to its size.

Monster truck is totally different. Here usually just for bashing and show. with their big build, they can soak higher jump and less prone to breakage. I go for HPI Savage simply becoz they’re the best in my opinion when comes to bashing and still keep going.

Whatever it is, make sure your local hobbyshop and friends carries the same interest and spare parts. Nothing so boring when playing (racing) alone. Hope that answer or at least helps in deciding which ride you like or suitable for you. :)
