Tamiya Competition Truggy TRF 801XT

Saturday, June 28th, 2008 424 views

Tamiya has finally come out with a competition truggy call as TRF801XT. They have been many version from the normal truck to the so-called racing truck like the Tamiya Nitrage before but we guess finally they come out that something they could be proud of. With the word “TRF” on it, you can be assured of quality tested by the Factory drivers only.

Tamiya Truggy TRF801X

If you are a hardcore Tamiya, this is a must get. Of course if you are into offroad racing. It was tested as we like to joke, not at the vegas hotels but at Southern California, USA. It was said, the new TRF801X chassis is full of adjustable options with no compromise on the quality as can be seen with their optimized efficient drive line.

Thursday, June 26th, 2008 425 views

We have to announce this and it is really the truth. RC Connections Sdn Bhd has really saves Malaysian RC Racers. Not only for the offroad racers but also for the onroad rc racers too. Did we mention, they also offer a specific site for the rc crawlers? Where can you get such services, such tracks and still down to earth, friendly and always welcome critics? Nope. None.

RC Connections, you the best! I have to say, AlvinL, you the best too. We probably need to mention the rest of their gangs too. Well done and thank you from us, the crazy rc offroaders. Just check the pictures before done at Malaysian rc tracks management and below when its done:

If you missed the video we posted, it’s actually on the previous post : RC Connections Glenmarie Track video Promotion.

Now the only thing we need to do, is fly to peninsular Malaysia with our buggies and truggies and eat our heart out there. Hahaha. Damn, we could not make for the GS Cup 2008 race :(

Check this out. A video promotion of the new renovated track in Malaysia that used to be called HPC Glenmarie Track, done by our own local top Pro racer, Mr Lai Kok Heng driving his OCM KAOS DT19 buggy.

Pretty big and pretty awesome jumps. We can’t wait to test this new track.

Vengeance Cup 2008 RC EP Modified Race

Wednesday, June 25th, 2008 247 views

This race Vengeance Cup 2008 Modified Race is finally “finalized” and solved. Blame it on the bad weather, rain! No fault of the organizer since Sabah is quite popular with tropical rain and it can happen just like that without noticed.

Luckily all the qualification rounds done. In fact, B and C mains finals finished just before the rain. How unlucky to the A main racers. We quite understand their feelings. If you carefully the title of the race, it is about vengeance, payback time or whatever it supposed to mean. For us, bragging rights. Looking at the result, based on the qualifying rounds, top 5 racers are all from different team. Led by Team Serpent KS Chu [our soon-to-be sponsored racer ;) ], Team Hotbodies which were very strong with many members in the race, Team Yokomo led by the senior Ah Ket, Jason Shim Serpent GP driver converted and at no.5 Abdullah with his faithful Tamiya TRF 415. All looking for that elusive champion of the champion title.

HMS Racing Modified RC Electric Vengeance Cup 2008 Race

Sunday, June 22nd, 2008 408 views

Yes, HMS Racing is having another round of race again at Kolombong Inanam Track. The Modified RC Electric Vengeance Cup 2008 Race. It is happening at the time we publish this at 12pm GMT +8hrs 22nd June 2008. Probably too late for you when you are reading this. Sorry.

There will be around 23 racers confirmed competing in it and it is actually the biggest turn out if it really happening after so long. As the title of the cup, you are assured of pure challenges among the racers. They are not many good drivers at the top but we know who and who to look for when comes to really bringing the real electric rc racing. Mainly, it is just between two teams against each other. The Team Serpent and the Hotbodies. So far, the Serpent Team excel more in recent races. I am sure the Hotbodies will not stand back and just watch the serpent S400 to be exact capturing all the glories on the podium. Go go Hotbodies.

Tamiya TRF416 Chassis | Tamiya Volac MS C3 ESC

Saturday, June 21st, 2008 403 views

This is just too cool to ignore. The new chassis by Tamiya for the TRF416. Couple with new Volac MS C3 ESC (speed controller). According to our rc partner, redrc.net, it’s thicker up to 2.5mm specially for hard high grip track condition. The previous stock one is only at 2.25mm.

The new Volac MS C3 is actually a rebranded of KO Propo VFS 1 speed controller.

Please visit our partner RedRC.Net for more info. You can also check at Tamiya and translate the Japanese language.

Other than talking about RC, radio control car for life, we need to look at the real car parts too. We have to as no use of owning the best rc parts, the best quality of car kits but broken real car parts to transport it all. Get it? Yeah, we need real transport to go track. You can use bicycle but then its limited space won’t let you take your other cool stuffs. :D

Team Losi Adam Drake has Myspace Blog

Saturday, June 21st, 2008 343 views

Wow, we just found out about this, Adam Drake has his own blog - a myspace to be exact. Pretty cool indeed. We like people like this. Especially when you got to see their house pictures. :D

Adam Drake myspace blog

Please visit his myspace to get to know him well. If you are not his friend, you will be surprised with his data there. We are. We never thought he is so tall. At 6 feet 4 inches, we definitely do not want to stand beside him on the driver stand or taking picture without some kind of elevation. Hahaha. On secong thought, we might end up out of flash memory for our camera trying to capture that one shot where we finally taller than The Drake. Hahaha.

You know we are kidding right ;)

RC Racing in the rain? No Problem. You are covered!

Thursday, June 19th, 2008 238 views

Here a great invention if not so stupidly simple and effective. We found out about this through our local EP racers champion, Mr. KS Chu. Yes, it is about your RC EP cover from mon-techracing.net. Check this pictures. Simple but quite effective. We are not sure actually. :D

Cover front

rc cover 2

rc cover 3

Pretty simple, eh?

We just got this in our mind that we could not get it out. So many insurance out there and if our rc stuffs can be covered with insurance, we are definitely pretty sure it is not the burial insurance from One Dollar Globe Insurance. We never heard anyone buried their rc rides and covered by insurance. We have seen friends ran over their buggies with their real car after they lose in the finals but never buried. Gosh.

Jared Tebo Vs Taylor James at Championship Party

Thursday, June 19th, 2008 290 views

Firstly, this is not a new news where Jared Tebo racing with Taylor James and certainly this is not happening this year. It was actually happened last year 2007 and posted at Youtube on October 13th 2007 by jsmbrown. The track was at Real R/C Raceway at Pleasant Hill, MO Track and brought to you by www.real-rc.com. They said the showdown between Jared and Taylor was a must happen. We are not sure the real reason why but we guessing that this race between them two only was to see who is the champion among the champions. Can you guess who gonna win if this is your first time seeing it?

For us, both are very talented young drivers. Even though they are young in comparison to our average local racers age here but their experiences and if we have to say, trophies are just awesome and remarkable. Jared was driving the new O’Donnell buggy while Taylor driving the Jammin /HongNor X1CR buggy.

Race continues here …

JonehRC Dot Com For Sale!?

Tuesday, June 17th, 2008 243 views

We thought about this, JonehRC.com is up for sale but will anyone buy it? We laughed and joke about this. We are sure no one will grab this domain name especially with personal name attached to it. LOL :D

Now seriously. We have lost touch on producing good rc articles. Not because we do not know how to write, well that too of course, but on really onto the real rc involvement. Locally (in Sabah), rc offroad been really slow. In fact, none for the whole one year up to now. Coupled with our own personal domestic obstacle with little kids around, going for rc is really taxing us. Not that we complaining to our family but really blame it on the local rc scene. No more future with our rc offroaders here. In fact, most if not all our friends converting to ‘real activity’ as they called it, Cycling. Yes, they dig for this mountain cycling thing. Which cost them like in thousands of Ringgit Malaysia too - same like playing our rc offroads. LOL.

JonehRC Moving out!

Sunday, June 15th, 2008 220 views

We thought about moving out. Yes JonehRC Dot Com is planning major moving out from everything. After the recent computer breakdown, we think about everything very meticulous now.

That include the current server stability and accessibility. Will our current software platform that is Wordpress secured or not and is it enough to cater for specific demand. What about new theme? Layout? We need designer for this. The important one, will the future computer is powerful and foolproof enough for us to use without any hesitation? So many things to consider and yet, nearly all hard to accomplish without some brain storming and some simple knowledge on proper management.

We are planning the Moving out from old to the new one. We just hope we do not need to move out from the current premise now. It is too much hassle and not to mention the cost involve. We can contact the Shleppers, The New York Moving Company if we really into it. We hope whatever we decided, it is for the better of RC. Firstly, the broken notebook. Damn.

JonehRC Announcement

Saturday, June 14th, 2008 201 views

First of all, sorry for everything. Sorry for not updating this blog as frequent as we like too. Bad things happened. Unavoidable. Our main computer, notebook to be exact, Crashed and Burn as we call it. Everything in the hard disk are gone including the access code to this site. To our feed readers, sorry. Our own mistake here. We totally trusted our high performance notebook that we thought no necessary backup was needed. We were wrong. We truly apologize for everything.

Currently, we are using our spare computer to go online and trying to gather as much RC News for you all and in fact for us all here too. It has been too long that we keep ourselves locked from the rc world out there. Let just say, the excuse of having big family with small children that always around. :D

We hope after the main computer been fixed and back operational, we be able to catch up all the exciting rc news out there. Keep coming guys. Pray if you can for our comeback.
