Radio Control Prizes?
This is just one of our boring session again. This time we thought of talking about the “Prizes”. You know, the things that you get, well if you get them anyway, on the final of any Radio Control Car events. Do you expecting any cash reward or something like this …
The home theater sconces??? Pretty cool eh? 
There is nothing impossible in this world. Well we can safely said it is impossible for us to win the next world championship in either the off road or on road GP events. However, if the sponsorship coming form the furniture industry? I believe not only you will take their chairs and sofa, you will probably agree the whole lights and candles they offer! Haha. Why not?
On the other hand, it will be really awkward to come back home with sofa, telling your spouse that you won it as the first prize, as champion. Hahaha.

I think it is funny the way you put it. I feel much better in this hot summer afternoon reading what you wrote.. But to think seriously about it, what else should a sponsor provide as prize? We are a 1/8 on road car maker ourselves, also are considering sponsor some event and could think of anything else but the car, the accessories and stuff.. I wonder if there is more brilliant ideas coming from others… any suggestion welcomed..

Thanks PedesrianJ. Yeah, we thought about that. If we are the RC Company sponsoring one of the local rc event this weekend for example, we would not definitely be giving away any sofa or candle or some fork and spoon for the prizes.. hahahahaa.
But if we are in the marketing dept and we thought we can penetrate this rc guys to buy our product and one of the way is to sponsor their races, and they agree.. well why not. Just hope they, the winners won’t complain afterwards. Hahahaha. Nice discussion. I need this.

what is the rate for advertisement? aside from this issue, do you race? How good are you? I would consider your son, but it takes too long to wait for your son.

Yes I race nitro offroad, truggy specifically and ocasional buggy.
Currently, trying my luck with onroad gp 1/10th, driving serpent 720 and Xray NT1. Still negotiating on the 1/8th stuff with the supplier though. Hope can race the Velox for free LOL.
