The Weekend everyone been waiting for. Well at least to the many racers at Australia. Behold, this is the weekend where the 2009 Australian Open will be held at the Whiteman Park. We are lucky to have Buggy-Pitstop as our rc partner for they will be covering the event for all of us.

Here spotted Matt Griffin with the new Team Associated Shock Tower as same been used by The Dirt Nitro Challenge Champion Ryan Maifield.

Peter Cooper aka Mr. Slyfox arrived at the track nice and early with all his gear to set up live timing and some live video. You can view the live timing & video on his website. It will be up tomorrow and right the way through till the A Main on Sunday evening! So make you sure you get on, and watch the racing from where ever you are!

So after the 2 rounds of timed practice we saw local WA boy Josh Pain take TQ followed by Dale Smulders. So after a 40 min lunch break we got right back into with 1 round of qualifying. This saw everyone step up to the next level. This was awesome to watch and a great time to take some photos. So after the first round of qualifying we saw Martin Wolhunter TQ. Below are the top 24 from the first round.
