Local Malaysian racer review on OCM Buggy!

Written on December 15, 2006 – 3:41 pm | by JonehRC | 425 views

Yea, its about time for our own local review. We just can’t take words from their own mouth(the OCM guys), u know. we only believe until we see it and use it. I can’t comment. I dont have one but my friend do. He got quite a nice interesting review on the OCM DT-19 Pro buggy. And even compares to other buggy.. of which i cant mention here now… until this 10pm(local Malaysian time).
Wanna know more… plus pictures ;)

Ok its 10:18pm now. A bit delayed due to sudden power electricity disruption. My laptop gone shutdown instantly damn. LOL.

Ok, here I quoted from Him known famously as Devious17(rctech).

One distinctive difference that i have noticed from my ex MBX5 Pro is that OCM can land better and turns like no tomorrow.

It can land after a high jump without bottoming out unlike my ex mugen ….”Phaak! ” chassis on the ground everytime. We tested both buggies by dropping both of them onto the floor to see how high before the chassis hits the floor and guess who won?

As for steering,I had to use the inner steering mount point on the knuckle to soften the agressive steering, the outer mount point is good for technical tracks which requires sensitive steering.

Toe setup on the OCM are relatively simple by means of precise toe cups inserted onto the brace, this eliminates the need of expensive setup station .All it needs is a simple camber gauge and you are set with the OCM.

The shock shaft are hardened items, tough buggers. We have also adviced the manufacturer of several items which we think should be improvised or revised.

We had a first hand technical tips from all 3 OCM drivers about buggy setting and racing it. I gained one (amongst many others) valuable lesson at tuning shock absorber (finally ) More to learn from these drivers

I am finally getting what I wanted to learn about buggy

BTW, this is MY opnion of comparison between the buggies that I have driven so dont go flaming me about it yeah?!

Anyway, we will let OCM speak for itself on the tracks and not in the forum

OCM 3OCM 2OCM 1

Ok, thats his opinion. whats yours? u can leave a comment. All i can say, i love the look of this buggy. :D

OCM has delivered the hardened CVD replacement for the first few OCM DT-19 that encountered with their units. Some prototype parts are also being delivered for our testing as well as a result of our feedback from our OCM DT-19 stress testing.
