Check this out. The new Jammin / HongNor X2 Racing Truggy! Don’t they just look awesome! I wish my original HongNor X1CRT look like this. A definite must buy for me.

Specification noted as below:
- Different Diff mount
- Longer chassis - everything pushed forward
- New fuel tank - more towards the center
- New radio tray - shorter and lowered
- Small spur
- Shock towers and wing mount look different
- Big bores - of course
- Trimmed chassis
- Neat side guards
- Seems the engine placement more inward to the center
- Plastic chassis braces (seems to be the chosen flex setup this lately)

Here a snapshot of the Live News of the Neo 2008 Race. Seeing it live just by refreshing the page is not so much fun as watching it in person from the track itself but nevertheless, you can really feel it just by watching the time they made. Adam Drake is the man here. From the beginning, never once it showed that he was behind or something. He is always in front right up to the last minute. In fact only Mike Truhe managed to keep up with him. The rest are either 1 lap behind or more.

Result live from RCNews.Net. We are not sure whether there will be another final of this Buggy class. For now, this is the standing. Adam Drake is the man. Losi 8ight is the ride. Well done. The Drake is in control! If this is end of it, meaning all top three are from USA and Taylor James is on the 3rd spot.

The Hobao Cup Annual 2008 Race is finally over. Interestingly the result seems to be monopolized by the Team HongNor from Singapore. So it seems. At front, we would like to congratulate Wenyi from Team Hongnor Singapore for winning the 1/8th Buggy class and almost captured the Truggy class as well. Next is of course to our buddy, Malaysian top driver, David Lim from Team Losi / Werks for Top Qualifying (TQ) the Buggy and winning the Truggy class. Well done both of you.
Moreover, from the sources we have, the Hobao Malaysia organizer, led by Mr. Thompson Chong has been reportedly done a very good job. We have done our check, it is indeed a very successful event and everytime, every year, lesser people complaint due to their awesome job on handling situation. As reported by friend, great food and if we have to mention, no marshaling job too.

Another great weekend especially for the HongNor racers in China. They must be really happy because they had their first ever race at the FeiTeng Track in Guangzhou. HongNor Cup 2007 has both class open 1/8th buggy and truggy class are open to all racers with HongNors ride only. Meaning HongNor Buggy X1CR and the Truggy X1CRT. Wang Wen Pei was the man who managed to capture the first podium finish as champion. Congrats to Mr. Wang.

Here report quoted from our news partner, RedRC.Net.
Last weekend saw the 2007 HongNor Cup held in mainland China for the first time at the FeiTeng track in Guangzhou, and it was open to both Buggy and Truggy. This is a one make race, open to HongNor racers only and it was attended by their factory team as well as many top Asian drivers, all driving the X1CR or X1CR-T. Qualifying saw the buggy class TQ go to ChengYikuan with Taiwanese factory driver WangWenPei in 2nd position. After the start it was WangWenPei that immediately took the lead and despite a battle with Singapore driver WenYi for many laps he was able to pull away and win the race 1 lap in front of WenYi in 2nd, with HuWeiPing in 3rd. WangWenPei also went on to win the Truggy class.

Buggy A main result:
1. WangWenPei - 49 laps in 40:21.41
2. WenYi - 48 laps in 40:13.04
3. HuWeiPing - 47 laps in 40:05.63
4. ChengYiKuan - 44 laps in 40:16.01
5. WuDongChuan - 42 laps in 40: 27.87
6. YeXiaQing - 41 laps in 40:09.49
7. PeiSheng - 40 laps in 40:00.40
8. KuangJiaYi - 36 laps in 30:07.63
9. LinLeHua - 27 laps in 26:35.42

Yes and I am not kidding when we said HongNor / Jammin X1CR terrorized the recent Puerto Rico Offroad final championship. Imagine 6 out of 10 are HongNors racers in Buggy class while in the truggy class nearly all HongNors racers with the exception of one Losi and Mugen racers. Now this is what I call The Land Of The HongNors!
But of course, Juan Torres was the ‘Man of The Match’ as they call it in the Football. He not only won first in the Buggy, he also captured the top trophy in the truggy class. Just plain awesome Torres!
The Puerto Rico Offroad Association (PROFA) has finished it’s annual points championship. With all championships comming down to the final race it was a very intense race. With over 325 racers the annual point series was a success.
There were 6 HongNor/Jammin X1CR cars in the A main final and 8 X1-CRT cars in the truggy final. Juan Torres driving a X1-CR won the First position of 1/8 buggy class and with the X1-CRT he also won the first of truggy class.

Great news for all Jammin / Hong Nor Products especially on the development of the CRT, The truggy and of course to Taylor James for his great driving too.

Thanks to Taylor James, the Jammin CRT now owns five National Championships (2 ROAR & 3 R/C Pro) of the six available since this revolutionary truggy hit the market. Taylor contributed to this impressive record this past weekend by winning the the R/C Pro Expert Arena Truck title in Texas. Taylor only competed in two of the three series races so he had to win the finals to take home the R/C Pro National Championship. This win gives him back to back R/C Pro titles as he was the defending champ.
Congratulations Taylor!!!

The Proline Nitro Maxx Challenge 2007 has just come to an end last weekend at The Dirt Track in California. It was reported that all the major brand teams are there. The entrants reached over 180 racers and this definitely created a very busy qualifying weekend and action packed race event.
The interesting part of the race, both of the Top Qualifier(TQ), like Team Losi, Adam Drake in Buggy and Hobao, Jeremy Kortz in the Truggy class was not in the final top spots. It was Ryan Cavalieri who took the Top Spot in the buggy class for Team Associated RC8 Buggy. In the truggy class, Billy Fisher was the man to beat. Well, at least Adam Drake won the 1/10th Truck he TQ’ed earlier. Another interesting fact to note, Chad Bradley with his two Jammin rides, was always there as the top 3 guys.

The new Hongnor Shock Towers for the X1CR Buggy are CNC machined from a thicker 5mm aircraft grade 7075 plate and hardened to T6. The towers are then Hard-Coated with our special material for wear and durability.
The front tower now has multiple half holes at the top and 3 mounting holes at the bottom.
The rear towers have half holes at the top and an extra row on the bottom inside. The multiple choice of shock mounting positions now gives more flexibility for different track conditions.

We quote from kdub from rctech.
On the race:
Cavalieri and Maifield were both awesome, qualified 2nd and 4th. We tried some more things on the setup and the cars are coming along nicely. Unfortunately the weather was terrible for practice so we didn’t get much track time. Also, Saxton was ill all weekend and not at 100% strength.
In the main the top 5 broke away (Cavalieri, Truhe, Maifield, Tebo, Bradley) and stretched out a gap. A flame-out by Truhe gave Cavalieri some breathing room with Maifield in 2nd. Pudge had a cracked part in the front end that flexed open in a crash and popped out his upper arm…..we fixed it in the pits and he lead until the 49 minute mark. A crash on the big triple made it pop out again and one of the parts fell off so we couldn’t repair it. Maifield got into the lead but a miscommunication with his pitman caused him to run past pit lane and he didn’t have enough gas to make it around again. He made a great charge at the end but didn’t have enough time to get around Jared (who drove great and mistake-free at the end).

Friend of jfc_tech, Ah Kim aka Arghh(rctech) got this new shots of his creative Jammin X1R2. If you have been in the buggy world, guess which buggy resemble like it? Or should i just said, Arghh X1R2 mistakenly took as the PIKTOR Rush2. This time, he took the picture himself. Much clearer and brutally raced to the max! The tires seems to show that. Hehehe.
Here his first race with his Jammin Rush2 at Glenmarie HPC Track at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia!

Is this cool or what? Rate it 5 stars!

Im not sure you know this guy or not Jacques Ballow or why he is even featured in this blog. Its easy for me to just put up the other result. Yea, the LOSI 8ight and the RC8 confrontation. The new buggies in town. But that would be just normal news. Well, its usually not normal here, that we can tell you. So, in that context, may we present you the Open Buggy A Main champion, Jacques Ballow. The top privateer who not only dominated the recent Nitro Challenge by The Dirt at the Nitro Pit in Arizona by taking Top Qualifier honors but also won the “A” Final with more than 10secs gap. He achieved this by driving the Jammin X1-CR-FTE.
Download his setup below. Interestingly, he was using Mugen Grey Spring, like Chad B also but he add his own MIP Clutch setup. Before that, go check the interview done by Jammin at Jammin Products.Com

Yes, Crocket is the nickname, Wellington New Zealand is the place he came! These are few of his rc videos that deserve to be in this blog. I think you all agree after seeing them. The racing in the videos are from the Opening day of a new track in a city called Feilding, New Zealand. It was a one day event that consisted of 3 rounds of qualifying, followed by a 20 minute final. This footage was from the 20 min Final and some traffic maneuvering. There was some good close racing on a track that proved to have a good flow yet was technical enough to ensure you always needed to be concentrating.

Jammin New engines… yes they got both. the .21 and .28 size engine. Jammin Jay himself did the R&D on these engines and paid special attention to the details that are so important for off-road R/C racing. Such as durability, ease of tuning, and driveabilty. Tweaks to the materials, crank timing, and tolerances all played a part in getting the engine to the high performance edge that Jammin Jay requires. Both engines deliver excellent bottom end power with great top end run out. Both include Turbo Plug type heads. While the .21 is tuned for the buggies, testing proved it to be more than capable in the truggy class. The .28 is all out big block performance but still very easy to drive and gets surprisingly good fuel mileage. Turbo Glow plug included. Made in Italy
