This is a personal RC Outing. My kind of RC Leisure. During the Chinese Chap Go Mei Holiday, I decided to go to the track. However not to the offroad track as I love very much but to the most beautiful HMS Racing Onroad Track with my pitboy, my son Josh Luke - future rc champion. Hahaha.

Oh yes, it is a very long holiday here. As you know, we are in Malaysia do celebrate the Chinese New Year really serious. Maybe not all but in my place, this festive is a serious celebration. So serious that nearly every shop is close during its long celebration. yes, the Chinese more or less majority here. That’s what Malaysia is all about. Variety of races, ethnics and culture. All come together celebrate as one.
As at today 21st February 2008, the Chap Go Mei, as the Chinese call it, marks the end of the two weeks celebration. After all the Lion dance, dragon and many firecrackers all around the town and city, it is that time again where they come together and eat again for the last time. Just for the kick, make sure you bring your weight loss pills along. AS we found out before, all the dinner from all the invitation we got, we always overload. Meaning, foods are too much for us. We seldom complain when comes to food. As you know, nearly every rc racers eat in a small quantity. They are too focus on their rc car or truck, that having breakfast or even lunch is out of question.
Whatever it is, we have at least a couple of invitation to attend tonight. More foods are actually good for you. Good for you, good for RC. Yes, there is actually a connection here. Just check all the western racers. You will never see a tiny bony racer on the podium. They all at least 60kg and above. Hahaha. Just kidding.
OK, will continue later on with the rc news. We promise. For now, dinner and the pills are ready! Hahaha.

As always, Happy Chinese New Year 2008, Gong Xi Fa Cai, Happy Rat year 2008, this is a must celebration and a must greeting to all our Chinese readers and viewers.

Especially to all Malaysian, once again, Gong Xi Fa Cai. It is a good year to celebrate big things according to the Fengshui Teaching. Either to celebrate birthday, baby full moon and of course the use of wedding rings are the most favorite one. No one can deny the joy of marriage especially to your love one. Let me insert something here, imagine if you can marry a girl who is and has the same interest like you in radio control car | truck. Imagine the joy of it. Seriously, we have many friends who got married with girls that totally not interested and even got into argument when the guys gone for some RC Bashing Session when they supposed to be with their wives and family. Haha.
Anyway, whatever it is, enjoy the holiday and may all Chinese and everyone who celebrates it has the Health and Prosperity Gods with them all throughout the Rat year 2008. Peace to all mankind.
*** can’t wait for the holiday to be over simply because all the track and hobby shops are close now [crying]

Of course you need some kind of RC Timing Watch to help you in RC. I am not sure what the meaning of RC Timing Watch since my English is very poor. What I am trying to say is the one you use for your rc pit stop. The one you use to time your friend next nitro fuel up. Yes that is the one. I know there is a specific stop, pause and go watch but definitely you do not need Cartier watch. That is one damn expensive watch that only deserve around your wife’s hand. No, not that.
However, this is a boring moment. We all stay indoor and being a true offroader we just need to let the fume out. think something stupid probably in the same time. I hope you all not offended. I am just rambling here.

Leisurely mood again here. You will be thinking like me too if you do not have any proper track locally. Of course we envy our western Malaysian who has wonderful track like the HPC Glenmarie and the most fortunate RC racers in Indonesia. Somehow, finding and getting this great real estate property for their RC Track seems easy.
For us here, I have to slap my head many times why oh why we still do not have our own proper track. Either we bashed and race in the abandoned construction yard or just at the beach. If we are not that crazy, we would have stopped playing RC long time already. We all hate the situation but nothing much can do. Our Electric RC racer counterpart are all smiling because they have one of the best onroad track and even coming up one indoor track. For us rc offroaders??? Pathetic!

OK, another of our popular RC Rambling on our RC Leisure moment. Let us all be honest, RC Products are no cheap products. It is not a cheap hobby that everyone can just simply come on board. That is the sad part in all this. RC as in Radio Control or Remote control is after all The Big Boys Toys.
Now, what about the small boys? Are they not worthy to play the same toys like us? I am not sure how you all started in this hobby but I still remember how I started. I tell you this in front, credit cards are your friends when come to buying RC Products. Nearly everything about RC I bought using the credit cards. Simply because the protection of buying things with credit card and of course, you do not have to carry many cash with you.
I want to share a little bit of advantage of owning a credit card other than the two above. Let me start by promoting the cards from the http://credit-cards.mint.co.uk. The things I like most are the no annual fee, the Online Fraud Protection and of course the big credit limit. With Mint credit cards, you can get up to £7,500 credit limit. Now tell me, which RC products you cannot buy with this entire amount. Ha-ha.
So go ahead, especially if you are in the UK. Look for Mint credit cards. You never know, the next purchase of the tire using that specific card can actually bring the luck for your podium finish. One will never know

This is another thing that really intrigued me and keep on appearing in my mind. Do RC Racer ever exercise?. What I mean is do RC Racers use any exercise equipment to prepare themselves just before any big race. If you are RC Racer, have you ever exercise with any type of equipment? Do you really need to do any kind of exercise, for example the finger practice exercise for better throttle control. (more…)

We talked leisurely about the track at HPC Glenmarie got flooded and the biggest international off-road track for the IFMAR Jakarta but we could not help ourselves wondering how the owners be able to get such awesome lands as big and as wide as they have while we here locally have to settle with a smaller land for our track. Seriously, is there such a thing for a radio control to have their own insurance? Our friend just lost all his RC belonging when he left them at one of the recent race he attended. He lost his truggy kit, another spare kit with all the necessary parts. Starter box and even his KO radio. He estimated his lost around MYR9,000. Man, that is a lot. To add to the wound, all that RCs stuffs are bought on interim meaning, through his savings and paycheck. The only thing he did not do in front of us was crying! (more…)

He said to us to inform you all that he is sorry that this RC Nitro Offroad blog has not been updated for quite some times. He promises he will after everything is under manageable situation. For the time being, NOT, he said
All of his truggy, buggy and HPI Savage monster truck are inside the store room. All kept for next year rumble. He’ll Be Back He Said!

Hahaha… Be warned! This is a non-RC related thing but it is a good one nonetheless. Dangerous Dave and Brutal Bob. Part 1: Mole Surfing. The game that really hooked most of my office time. it so simple yet you wanna click it again and again!. The Tredz Game works like this: Once Dave rides near Brutal Bob, click your mouse button to make Bob whack Dave over the cliff! The further you surf the higher the score! At this time, the record stand at 814.6m. Done by yours truly
Thanks to my friend, CobraSVT(rctech). One cool simple game!

Ok here it comes. My first ever real articles. Which Monster Truck should i buy? You have to ask these six questions before you can come up to the right conclusion. Yes, no doubt, thats the one right for me, you said.
1. Scale
How much space Do I have? Do you have Little space or Lots of space? If Little Space, then 1:18 or 1:20 in scale. But if you choose Lots of Space, then 1:10 or 1:8 or even the 1:5 !!
2. Environment
Will Noise Be a Problem? If you answer ‘YES’, then Electric Truck is suitable. If ‘NO’ for noise is a problem, then Gas truck is the way to go! Nothing beat the sound of roaring engine!
3. Maintenance
Can I Fix the Truck? If ‘NO’, then may I suggest, go for Electric Truck. Easier. But if you answer ‘YES’ you can fix it, Gas Truck is the way to go. Why? The engine mostly the cause of this. You need some knowledge. thats for sure.
4. Running Costs
Can I Afford the Fuel? If ‘NO’, then of course Electric Truck. If ‘YES’ you can afford it, then go for Gas Truck.
5. Do I want to Race or Bash?
Do you want to race or bash? If you said you definitely want to RACE IT ONLY, The Truggy or Stadium Truck are the best choice. But if you said, you want to Bash AND race, The go for Monster Truck. Of course you can choose truggy and stadium truck too.
6. Do I want to Build My Truck?
If the answer is definite ‘NO’, The only choice is go for the RTR, Ready to Run. Or if you the adventurous one, and you said ‘YES’ I want to build my own truck, then get the KIT or almost Ready to Run.
I know these are just a simple guideline on how to choose the right truck for you. Each question deserve more explanation and even from each questions, they should be a few more questions under it. But you know what? I just decided to keep this open for discussion. I believe you guys are more expert and knowledgeable than me on this matter. So please do comment so everyone can benefit. Thanks. This is just a test for me. I have to say this is not originally from me with my many years in radio control. I know i have read them somewhere but i forgot which website or magazine. I just take these from my scrapebook. I usually write what i read so I didn’t forget. Hehehe. If anyone knows the source of this article or writing.. or it really an article from me, let me know, ok. My purpose is just to share the knowledge. Nothing else. And of course, my english is poor. Its my 2nd language. So just ignore, ok.

Ok, I am really sorry for all the inconveniences. Especially to you my supporters. It seems my hosting wanna upgrade something to better the service. I, for one agree for this upgrade but in the same time, really disappointed because it happened when it matter most. It happen at the peak time for my USA viewers and my Malaysian time. I noticed my visitors drop and email getting full with the “WHY….” questions. I hope this problem will not happen. The blog already suffers a lot during the Taiwan earthquake… im sorry that happen to them.. but TM Streamyx should be responsible for that too. Hey, they took my money and i expect better service. Am i not right?
Anyway, im just rambling words now. my English is poor and so does the connection. Hahhahaha!

TM Net should have cured this problem… or probably they just said it for free advertisement thing or whatever the damn thing was. Here Mr LiewCF talked about it. Tm Net service to be fully restored.
And yes, if you from rctech forum… i cant even view it too. so i am stuck with no story to report except myself babling here. Oh heck.
