Here a snapshot of the Live News of the Neo 2008 Race. Seeing it live just by refreshing the page is not so much fun as watching it in person from the track itself but nevertheless, you can really feel it just by watching the time they made. Adam Drake is the man here. From the beginning, never once it showed that he was behind or something. He is always in front right up to the last minute. In fact only Mike Truhe managed to keep up with him. The rest are either 1 lap behind or more.
Result live from RCNews.Net. We are not sure whether there will be another final of this Buggy class. For now, this is the standing. Adam Drake is the man. Losi 8ight is the ride. Well done. The Drake is in control! If this is end of it, meaning all top three are from USA and Taylor James is on the 3rd spot. (more…)
We are happy to bring you all this result, The 2008 Silver State Nitro Challenge Final Buggy and Truggy Result. In the end even after never ending dust and tricky rounds with goggles as compulsory, Mike Truhe from Team Losi captured the podium for Buggy and Ryan Maifield from Team Associated / GRP took his Kyosho ST-RR on top of the podium. Nevertheless, our eyes are still on Jared Tebo. Quite interestingly almost captured both trophy with his O’Donnell Buggy and prototype truggy. Well done and must have have been great show to the spectators.
Awesome video coverage by the UndergroundRC.com on the Nitro Challenge Pro A Main final. This is totally a cool video where you can see the how intense the race was. Especially the battle between Mike Truhe and Ryan Cavalieri at the final seconds. Some call it a controversial pass, some just said it is a normal race style of passing. We are not taking side here. We know we enjoy it and we believe so did the spectators there. I think it is true, if you could attend one race only in a year, this could be the one - in USA of course. So enjoy it.

The Hobao Cup Annual 2008 Race is finally over. Interestingly the result seems to be monopolized by the Team HongNor from Singapore. So it seems. At front, we would like to congratulate Wenyi from Team Hongnor Singapore for winning the 1/8th Buggy class and almost captured the Truggy class as well. Next is of course to our buddy, Malaysian top driver, David Lim from Team Losi / Werks for Top Qualifying (TQ) the Buggy and winning the Truggy class. Well done both of you.
Moreover, from the sources we have, the Hobao Malaysia organizer, led by Mr. Thompson Chong has been reportedly done a very good job. We have done our check, it is indeed a very successful event and everytime, every year, lesser people complaint due to their awesome job on handling situation. As reported by friend, great food and if we have to mention, no marshaling job too.

If you remember well, we talked about Yannick new venture The Aigoin’s Racing with GRP products and our rambling on the drug rehab thing which we are very sorry. Sometimes when everything does not come into place, the stress come to attack us.
Anyway, thanks to our RC Partner, Neobuggy.net to make us straight again. They featured a story on Yannick Aigoin’s Racing but specifically on the new GRP RC Engineinside look. Neobuggy has done an interview on Yannick a month ago regarding his prototype engine but no details leaked as at that moment. This was Yannick’s answer when the question popped at him.
“The GRP engine that I am currently testing is a prototype engine which has no name yet” (Y.Aigoin)
Here what Neobuggy.net reported on their site.
It’s fair to say that Yannick’s first race with all this new equipment was a baptism of fire, 2 of the year’s biggest races – Worlds warmup and the Nitrocross race. Results were mixed, but the potential was there.
Now a few weeks wiser, the word is that GRP have been working on this project for some time; their meteoric rise in the 1/8th Offroad engine sector is quite extraordinary when you consider they launched only in January 2006. The project is a completely new engine and line, with new internal technical parts, and aesthetically. We also hear GRP will have a special strategy for this line, a unique tuned high-performance model – really aimed at the best of the best, but with a decent price tag.
GRP’s team comprising of engine guru Mario Rossi, and now R & D specialist Aigoin is destined to result in a pretty special engine!
We just found out about this and we could not wait to share our fellow racers especially if you reside in Malaysia. The House of Triunity Sdn Bhd, a local Malaysian private company, is actually an official distributor for this great brand from USA, The Team Losi Racing products. One of the products that we are featuring today is the new Team Losi 8ight Race Roller.

TKO Competiton has released a new Carbon Fiber Arm Guards for the 8ight buggy. These lightweight, flexible guards easily mount to the rear arms to keep the shocks, arms and outdrives from collecting dirt and mud.
The guards have three pre-drilled holes.Use the screw that holds the swaybar to the arm in the guards middle hole…add a washer first. Drill two holes(undersize of a short 2-56 or 2mm socket head screw) not included and fasten the guards to the arm.
Great updates on the Silver State Nitro Challenge 2007 in Vegas and great awesome job for the Team LOSI. As reported by Neobuggy.net, Truhe is the man in the Buggy class. He won the Pro Buggy class with his Losi 8ight and Novarossi engine. Team Losi made their mark by getting Adam Drake on the podium too. Eventhough Adam TQ’d for both the Buggy and Truggy class, he somehow had to surrender to Truhe charge. Congrats to Truhe and Team Losi as a whole in the achievement.
Updated report from our RC Partner, RedRC.net, that Adam Drake become the Top Qualifier again in the Pro Buggy class in the Silver State Nitro Challenge 2007 after a very convincing TQ in the Truggy class on Friday.

Expecting something different? Wanna know whats the secret to Mike Truhe fast 8ight buggy and 8T truggy? Thanks to Aaron Waldron, another fast Team Losi driver, he gave out the Mike Truhe setup for all to see. Check them out. Interesting Clutch setup there. Truhe was using Team Losi Nitrotane Fuel and the new Nova PLUS21-5K engine to power his victory in both classes!
*** Ignore the truggy setup for the engine. it was Nova 21 and NOT .28 as recorded. Source: Novarossi website.

The full A Main results for Dirt Nitro Challenge just out. Thanks to our reliable rc partner, Neobuggy.net. It can considered a very important race especially for the USA market. New birth of buggies, like Team Associated RC8 buggy, Jared Tebo’s O’Donnell and Team LOSI 8ight buggy and 8T, the truggy. They all there to compete the best of the best and may i say, the bragging right among them. Do not forget, this race also open to all. Yannick Aigoin was there with his Team XRAY XB8 and XT8 truggy too.
I just found this “RC Driver Testing the Team LOSI 8ight Buggy”, when i was surfing for good RC Video in the YouTube website. I just do 1/8 scale off road nitro RC search, and boom, this video comes out. The best part is, the driver is from RC Driver editor, Mr. Frank Masi. Enjoy it. By the way, Great driving Frank!
RC Driver Magazine’s Frank Masi takes the Team Losi 8ight Buggy to Wolcott Hobby and Raceway in CT for testing. The 8ight is powered by a Trinity Drake Engine and Trinity Fuel. The buggy is also equipped with JR Servos and Panther tires. (more)
