Watching with all the latest trend in RC world, where every manufacturer, well most of them, converting their nitro designs to the latest rc brushless electric world, news of new product on electric conversion came no surprise to us anymore. Nevertheless, one company that we found stood taller than others. They are of course from Tekno RC.
They came long way since the Traxxas T-Max Monster Truck with the adjustable wing, at least to our limited knowledge we read from only the rc magazine. Fast forward to today, they have come up with most everything you need especially in the offroad electric world [no need to mention for the nitro stuffs - they have a lot too]. The latest is their 1/8th Elektri-Clutch.

Tekno RC continues to push the boundaries of the evolving 1/8th brushless class. The new Elektri-Clutch adapter is compatible with most 3-shoe clutch systems and clutch bells (Ofna, Mugen, Kyosho, AE, Hot Bodies, etc). This adapter is lighter, stronger, spins truer, and is easier to set up than the previous design.
Oh yes, Atsushi Hara used this engine OS .21 VZ-B V spec II to win his first ever IFMAR 1/8th scale Buggy World Championship.

The O.S. .21 VZ-B V-Spec II engine was used by Atsushi Hara to claim his 1/8 Scale Buggy World Championship victory and is soon to be released by OS Speed. Output characteristics backed by advanced technology, stable response over the entire speed range and superior fuel economy are the reasons why many top drivers around the world choose the O.S.SPEED 21VZ-B V-SPEC II engine which has evolved from the earlier O.S. SPEED 21VZ-B V-SPEC. A significant modification has been made to the cooling head in the form of 18 machined holes which not only improve the cooling but lower the weight approx, 14g.

Our favourite Pro Offroad racer Jared Tebo is back with his old team, Team Kyosho. We totally missed the part why he departed with Team O’donnell but what the heck, he is with one of the best team out there now. Especially in offroad rc racing.

Jared Tebo, after a three-year hiatus, is returning to Team Kyosho. Tebo will be running all off-road classes for Kyosho, including 1/8 buggy and truggy, 1/10 2WD buggy, 4WD buggy and 1/10 electric truck. He will be running AKA Tires, Team Orion motors, batteries and electronics, KO Propo radio gear, and Byron’s fuel. Tebo achieved great success during his previous tour with Kyosho, winning most of the major 1/8 off-road races for nearly two seasons. His dossier includes an IFMAR off-road World Championship title, seven ROAR National Championships, and some 16 other championships at national-level events.
When asked for his thoughts about re-joining Kyosho, Jared said the following,
Wow, we cannot wait for this new engine, an Off Road Novarossi Buggy Engine – The Plus 4 Buggy Engine! We know this is coming because our local hobbyshop, the HMS racing is the main distributor in Malaysia. Hooray!!!

At NOVAROSSI WORLD S.r.l. we are always working on improving our products and staying ahead of our competition. The result is a new engine build from a “clean sheet of paper” design, incorporated our usual high standards for quality and performance.
As it is build on our succesfull “PLUS” engine line we named it: PLUS 4 BUGGY.
During the World Championship 1:8 Off-road held this year our drivers did extensive test work and made the already good engine even better. At the moment we NOVAROSSI WORLD S.r.l. are finalizing the last details of the PLUS 4 BUGGY engine, for those lucky enough we have released 180 Pre-Series engines for the American market.
Final version will be available later.
