We are not sure about this whether it is a good news or bad decision. ROAR just decided to drop the Production Monster Truck and 1:10 scale Gas truck from the National programs to ensure focus for the unanimous decision for the combination of 1:8 scale Buggy and the 1:8 scale Truck (Truggy) for 2009.
ROAR Combines 1/8-scale Buggy and 1/8-scale Truck for ‘09
ROAR, the US governing body issued the following statement a few days ago on their site:
“On April 22nd, ROAR President Dawn Sanchez met with manufacturer representatives and Fuel Off-road Committee members in attendance at this year’s Truck Nationals held at The Nitro Pit in Phoenix, Arizona. This group discussed the viability of re-combining the 1:8 Buggy Nationals with 1:8 Truck Nationals. It was decided that in order for this to work effectively, Production Monster Truck and 1:10 Gas Truck would have to be dropped from the Nationals program.
Those in attendance at the meeting were unanimous in their decision that this would be the most cost-effective method of handling Fuel Nationals. Not only would this be more cost-effective for teams and manufacturers, it would mostly help the privateer who has to go out-of-pocket for their expenses.”
For us here, no effect but what about you in the USA? What say you? Check others discussion in RadioControlzone Forum.

To those frequent visitors of us here, you probably wondering why this site so late of updating the latest news. Especially knowing that there is more news out there that needs to be covered. Well, we share the same puzzle as you people also. Yes, believe us; we do know there great news out there and deservingly should be published here. However, it is not that we are not posting the news here on purpose; we are just too preoccupied with this latest website.
It talks about Remote Control Cars like no other website we found so far. We are too excited to be in this site that we forgot we have our own Nitro Off-road blog to maintain. Yes, please laugh at us. We laugh at ourselves too. Ha-ha. They have this cool video pages and did we mentioned that they have RC Trucks section too that you just need to read.
The website is so pack with information that we could not believe that they could pull this off. However, they did it and they did it as if it is easy to maintain. Believe us; it is not easy to maintain a website of this mega size. Nevertheless, it is still easy to understand. New hobbyist and RC enthusiast can find themselves at home with their easy to understand choice of words. How to get started with remote control cars and even how to get yourselves indulge with the power of RC Nitro Cars.
If you just want to relax, especially on raining days where there is no indoor track available, you can just come on at his video page and forgot about the rain. Same like us, the time passed us by so quickly especially if you are into awesome video clips of racing. Did we mention that there is some RC drifting video there too?
This is a cool site that deserved to be mentioned here and we are glad to do just that.

Yes, JonehRC.com IS UP again. It may not look as presentable as before but my dedicated team is fixing it as I posting this news. Personally, I want to take this opportunity to Make An Official Apology for the few day being offline. The Hosting company responsible for taking care of this RC Nitro Offroad Blog server is actually was hacked by a non responsible young person who has nothing better to do with its skill. Still, It is our responsibility to deliver the many reports, races and new products that already outdated but need to be announced.

As Dealer Advocate, John will be traveling extensively throughout North America to visit hobby dealers, learning their specific needs and providing them with latest HPI and Hot Bodies product information.

Another video for all Non Nitro RC Drifting friends. Taken by my friend, RCSabah at Asia City, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
Now, KK’ian(Sabahan) Racers are concentrating more on Drifting. That is seems the Craze now. Most of the senior racers are turning their old Tamiya, Yokomo and Pro4 chassis to become their drifting machine. For the newbies, most of them using the HB cyclone, most the Tub chassis. With very high turn motor, like the 23T motor, the torquey and very slick tires, the rc drifters seems to have fun drifting forever. A very cool way to end your office day at the parking lot.
For info, the video is taken at around 10pm to 11pm at night. Just to show, how crazy this guys are. Our team will cover this new craze more in the future. Please come back for more. Or subscribe JonehRC Email Feeds

For the big size racer, this is a must for your HPI Baja 5B ride. The High Response Clutch Shoe is lighter than the stock therefore is engages later. Exactly around 8,000 RPM. The stock one engages at about 6000 RPM. With the new strong red spring set, it ensure your Baja will get more torque and acceleration. In other words, Punch out off the line!!

At last the new 1:8 Off Road CUBIC tires for buggy is out. The name Cubic already been out for many years already but this latest edition is actually an improvement with main emphasis on tires traction suitable for muddy, damp and wet track. GRP policy of ongoing improvement means that this new Cubic’s special structure guarantees a fantastic safety drive and a phenomenal grip, reducing to a minimum any driving mistakes.

The shape and small size of pins guarantee the maximum lateral grip.
The central rows of small paddles, guarantee the maximum traction.
The lateral riddles, guarantee the maximum side hold without causing any car model capsizing.

Well I started out with a Savage X kit I got this year in June. It was good and all but I knew I would fall into the money pit called the Savage. So I slowly started upgrading her, and well here is my project story.
This is what is looked like before I got all the parts:
